Coralie is the first woman to take the Domaine
Galevan field for the family, which has been for nine generations. In turn the Rhone
vine gives a new impetus to Galevan between modernity, independence and
happiness. It is based on know-how transmitted as an inheritance.
In this area of 60 hectares in one block
with 49 vineyards, all the great Rhone
varietals are represented: Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan
for the reds. Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Rousanne, Marsanne and
Bourboulene for whites. The average age of the vines is 55 years and
produce small quantities of high quality grapes.
The land is worked with great respect and fertilization is rational parcel by
parcel. There is no great wine without great
grapes.
In addition to the evocation of a great
terroir, Galévan name also symbolizes the balance between expertise and freedom
of creation, the roundness of the wine and poetic inspiration, perseverance and
defiance.
We managed to get some Cotes du Rhone 2008
along with some of the distinguished Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2008 both available in
red and white. It’s hard to find
anywhere else so impress yourself and others with this wonderful find.
