Carte Blanche is a pale, satin, golden-yellow colour and has a lovely effervescence. It's fruity nose quickly reveals hints of freshness (apples, grapefruit), yellow fleshed fruit (mirabelle plums) and hazelnuts and is wonderfully smooth on the palate.
A really good, well made house Champagne from a relatively small grower in Epernay, but with a rich tradition dating back to 1822. The Carte Blanche is over 2 years old and is a blend of 60% Chardonnay 40% Pinot Meunier and 10% Pinot Noir, it is brilliant value, great body and a delicate bouquet.
